About the Role

- - - - What the Candidate Will Do ----

1. Set technical direction by identifying priorities and opportunities, managing expectations, and considering tradeoffs.
2. Empower delivery by forming actionable plans, allocating responsibilities, and maintaining productivity across engineering teams with well-defined goals and metrics.
3. Participate in incident response activities to investigate security incidents, identify root causes, and develop remediation plans.
4. Leverage automation and AI to transform threat defense and response from human-driven to software-driven
5. Define and drive the strategy for securing cloud environments (GCP, OCI, AWS and Azure) leveraging cloud native and 3rd party technologies.
6. Design and implement security frameworks for cloud-native applications. Be intentional about automation, reliability and scalability.

- - - - Basic Qualifications ----

1. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field
2. 10+ years full-time work experience in security engineering and/or software engineering, with a focus on cloud-native systems.
3. Skilled in multi-cloud and hybrid SaaS ecosystem
4. Understanding of Kubernetes, container runtime; versatile in cloud native security technologies
5. Hands-on experience in cybersecurity concepts, tools, and best practices
6. Proficiency in programming languages like Golang, Python or Java.
7. Great interpersonal skills, deep technical ability, and a track record of successful execution in engineering security and/or product development at scale.

- - - - Preferred Qualifications ----

1. Master's Degree or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field
2. Experience in leading complex projects across multiple engineering organizations
3. Familiarity with threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and risk analysis for complex cloud-native systems.
4. Experience with AI technologies and frameworks and incorporating them into production systems
5. Ability to problems solve and make complex decisions with incomplete information in ambiguous situations and environments

For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$265,000 per year - USD$294,000 per year.

For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$265,000 per year - USD$294,000 per year.

For Seattle, WA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$265,000 per year - USD$294,000 per year.
