Our innovative and growing company is searching for experienced candidates for the position of quality assurance lead. The primary responsibilities of the Senior Manufacturing Engineering Technician will include the general oversight of the quality control organization performance.

As a the Senior Manufacturing Engineering Technician at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in guiding and overseeing the organization's repair and overhaul maintenance operations within the Energy & Sustainability Solutions (ESS) business unit. You will ensure seamless execution and compliance with industry standards and regulations. With your strategic mindset, you will develop and implement comprehensive repair and overhaul strategies, policies, and procedures, optimizing budget and resources. Your role will involve fostering collaboration across cross-functional teams, providing technical guidance to the maintenance team, and continuously monitoring performance metrics for process enhancement.

Your ability to navigate a fast-paced environment, coupled with exemplary communication and guide skills, will be crucial as you drive the team towards excellence, safety, and quality. You will work out of our Geismar, Louisiana location. In this role, you will impact the organization's overall productivity, safety, and quality standards, with a dedication to continuous learning and professional development, positioning the company at the forefront of innovation within the dynamic field of repair and overhaul maintenance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform assigned tasks through a combination of pre-work review and acceptance of quality control manuals and event specific quality control plans.
  • Oversee quality control organization performance, direct inspections and witness of hold points
  • Perform audit activities, review / acceptance of completed job packages and quality documentation.
  • Assess quality based on established acceptance criteria.
  • Ensure adherence to processes from all of the following sources:
  • Honeywell Engineering standards and PMT SharePoint site, National Codes and Standards, site internal instructions, policies, and procedures, contractual agreements, work task instructions and accepted quality control plans and processes.
  • Serve as primary focal point of the Quality Assurance Program. The primary goal is to ensure work is completed safely, right, the first time.
  • Address all non-conformances utilizing a reporting format and report out on a designated frequency.

YOU MUST HAVE:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years’ experience in repair and overhaul maintenance
  • Knowledge of repair and overhaul processes and methodologies such as damage mechanism and its applicability to asset/component considering metallurgy and process
  • Experience with different materials, equipment, piping and their damage, corrosion mechanism, and with valid skill and qualification of API 571, 580, NACE, CWI
  • Knowledge of NDT techniques and their applicability
  • Knowledge of welding metallurgy and welding industry standards
  • Experience with maintenance management systems and tools such as Computerized Maintenance Management Systems like SAP, Maximo.
  • Well versed in ASME design standards for fixed equipment and API-510, 570, 580, 581 inspection standards
  • Well versed in different Integrity data management systems like PCMS, Meridium, Capstone, Visions, UltraPIPE.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively.
  • Ability to carry 50 pounds, for a distance up to 100 feet.
  • Ability to climb stairs while carrying up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to push and/or pull up to 50 pounds consistently, for periods up to 12 hours per day.
  • Ability to stand for up to 12 hours per day.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and/or crawl repetitively.
  • Ability to wear a respirator.
  • Valid driver's license and personal vehicle.
