The intern is expected to participate and contribute to all stages of the project lifecycle from product pitch, RFP technical reviews through contract negotiations. This can include:
- Understanding the value of Tesla's energy storage products and competitive advantages, shadow and eventually lead (with guidance from senior members of the team) the review of RFP documents and coordinate with product/ engineering / sales teams to put together a list of technical exceptions to RFP documents from Tesla's standard offerings.
- Supporting and working with customers (with guidance from senior members of the team) on finding an optimal solution that is both technically and financially feasible for a project, considering all project-specific restrictions (eg: Site space, permitting, project use cases)
- Having a good grasp of contracting concepts and supporting contract population with project specific-guaranteed values, and quality checks with sales / sales operations teams.
- Having a solid understanding of internal tools and processes, and support building of new tools to support sales engineering analysis and improve the efficiency of the sales engineering processes.
