The Risk Project Management Office involves managing regulatory programmes across the Risk function and includes areas such as stress test, risk measurement and modelling as well as data, reporting and infrastructure capabilities of Risk Management for loss forecasting, capital planning and reporting.
What you’ll do
- Manage and lead complex regulatory projects across multiple geographies and teams.
- Bring subject matter expertise in risk management, risk disciplines to the successful execution of the book of work.
- Establish and define the Scope, develop and maintain detailed project plan.
- Mobilise and project structure including set-up of workstreams and implementation of governance model.
- Manage project execution and delivery ensuring project is delivered within planned timeline and budgets whilst escalating and resolving key project risks and issues.
- Provide appropriate project reporting to Working Group, Steering Group and Board updates.
- Manage the change control process to ensure rigorous scope control and transparency.
- Manage project documents such as Terms of Reference, Project Initiation Document, RACI, matrix, RAID log, and status updates (not exhaustive).
- Ensure project is maintained in-line with Citi best practices being logged appropriately in PTS and leverage JIRA and automated tool sets.
- Ensure the Delivery is operationally ready, sustainable with an appropriate business owner.
- Identify areas of weakness and control deficiencies and propose creative solutions to remediate, implement via a change book of work.
- Support run the bank stress team in the understanding and syndication of new regulations to broader risk teams (methodology) and feed back into planning.
What we’ll need from you
- Experience of working in large-scale organisations in the financial services sector delivering complex programmes; leading projects within finance, or risk functions is preferable.
- A strong working knowledge of regulations and guidelines across Stress Test, ICAAP, ILAAP, IMM and IMA is highly desirable.
- The ideal candidate would have both excellent project management skills with a good working knowledge of risk disciplines and associated regulations.
- Solution orientated, organised and capable of delivering to plan.
- leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in managing a team of resources across multiple streams of activity.
- Reporting and presentation skills with ability to synthesise complex technical information with different audiences.
- Demonstrable interest in analytical and innovative approaches to solve real-world problems—especially in banking, finance or risk management.
- Capable of building trusted relationships confidently at all levels, leading and influencing teams.
- Highly motivated, with ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a high pressurised environment.
- Giving careful attention to detail, with capability to deliver high quality results.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relative discipline, Master or higher degrees are advantageous, as is exceptional academic record (rewards, recognition, etc.).
- Recognised Project Management Qualifications e.g. PMP, Prince2 – would be highly desirable.
