What You’ll Do
  • Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and tooling changes for can stamping, can forming, and other production die-sets
  • Support the design and implementation of tooling changes to accommodate part modifications
  • Maintain and manage die-set preventative maintenance (PM) system, including scheduling and updating work instructions
  • Troubleshoot defects and support the preparation of die check sheets and trial procedures
  • Maintain die-set spare parts lists, ensuring parts are stocked and readily available
  • Develop and implement systems to reduce defects, improve productivity, and minimize downtime
  • Collaborate on Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to identify risks and create control plans for production dies
What You’ll Bring
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with stamping, forming, and die-set maintenance and repair. Apprenticeship certification in Tool & Die or equivalent experience
  • Experience with high-speed die-sets, including tooling material selection, and knowledge of CNC die surface machining, welding, and spotting
  • Familiarity with Lean principles (waste elimination, continuous improvement, JIT, etc.)
  • Ability to interpret dimensional inspection results (CMM, checking fixture, or vision systems)
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) and strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team, managing tight deadlines and competing priorities
  • Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal

Essential Physical Demands

  • Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours a day
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours a day, including over varied and uneven terrain
  • Frequently and repetitively, lift, push and carry up to 35 lbs., including the ability to carry 20 lbs. up and down stairs
  • Frequently and repetitively, bend, lift and reach to install parts
  • Stoop, lay, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crouch, twist and crawl for extended periods of time, including up to 12 hours a day
  • Climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding or other high structures
  • Ability to find issues in a work process and receive safety signals using sight, touch, and hearing
  • Wearing Personal Protective Equipment, including but not limited to: safety glasses, safety shoes, bump cap, and adhering to prescribed safety rules and guidelines
