Etch Manufacturing is hiring a New Product Transition (NPT) Manufacturing Engineer to support the successful launch of next-generation products into high-volume manufacturing. This hands-on, detail-driven role is critical to ensuring that designs are ready for scalable manufacturing and that operational issues are proactively solved before a product ramp.You’ll work closely with the NPT Project/Program Manager and cross-functional teams to translate new product designs into efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality manufacturing processes.As an NPT Manufacturing Engineer, you will be at the core of our new product introduction efforts—driving manufacturing readiness, process optimization, and early issue resolution during pilot and initial production builds.Your key responsibilities include:
: Develop, implement, and maintain methods and process flows to build complex assemblies efficiently and with high quality.: Apply DFx principles to reduce costs, simplify assembly, and improve quality and serviceability.
: Interface with Design Engineering, Supply Chain, Test Engineering, and Quality to align on manufacturing requirements and execute on readiness plans.
: Launch and implement engineering changes that support product maturation and improve manufacturability.
: Gather operational data, lead root cause investigations, and implement corrective actions to eliminate recurring issues.
: Assist in defining test specifications and procedures.
: Support development and maintenance of work instructions, build documentation, and process standards.: Engage directly with technicians and assemblers on the floor to resolve issues in real time during builds.
What You BringRequired Qualifications:
• Strongfoundation in manufacturing process development and new product transition (NPT).
• Practicalexperience with assembly, tooling, and/or test of mechanical and/or electro-mechanical systems.
• Familiaritywith engineering change processes and product lifecycle management tools.
• Solidunderstanding of DFx (Design for Manufacturing, Assembly, and Test).
• Strongproblem-solving skills with the ability to analyze test data and operational performance.
• Comfortable
• Bachelor’sdegree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.Preferred Skills:
• Experiencesupporting pilot or volume builds in a complex manufacturing environment.
• Familiaritywith SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Hands-onexperience working on the manufacturing floor with technicians or assemblers.
• Exposureto semiconductor capital equipment or complex system integration is a plus.
