Threat Assessment Managerwill be responsible for assessing and managing workplace violence (WPV) concerns; direct and indirect threats against associates, assets, and the business which may include harassing and threatening communications, social media posts, and other incidents.
Position Details:
This position will require on-call responsibilities on a rotating basis with other team members
Perform threat assessments on a wide variety of issues and concerns
Liaise with law enforcement on criminal incidents
Collaborate with Legal, Associate Relations, Human Resources, and other partners on WPV issues including coordinating meetings to review critical incidents, assess program effectiveness and address potential threats
Determine and recommend appropriate mitigation methods that are consistent with industry best practices and regulatory requirements
Use a variety of open source and social media networking sources and platforms to assess threats
Stay current on the latest tools to accurately monitor and assess threats
Effectively share information with appropriate management in a time sensitive manner
Consult with stakeholders regarding employee and contractor terminations and personnel actions that may require security assistance
Maintain proper case management processes and documentation on all threatening incidents
Prepare internal and external documentation on persons of interest or concern
Role will require maintaining the confidentiality of customer, associate and business data at all times
Conduct research and interviews in accordance with all state, federal, and local laws
Participate as an active member in professional security organizations including the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals
Possess excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Possess a high degree of initiative and drive
Demonstrate an ability to conduct threat assessments and investigations
Possess a familiarity with retail bank and corporate office security
Possess a high degree of integrity
Ability to manage several responsibilities at once with little supervision, including making critical decisions
Conduct training face to face and remotely in subjects such as Workplace Violence Prevention and Response, Suicide Intervention, Intimate Partner Violence, and general threat assessment process
Successfully complete ongoing training and certifications in threat assessment and workplace violence subjects
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or Military Experience
At least 3 years of private sector corporate security, law enforcement, military experience or any combination of the three
At least 5 years in Investigations or Threat Assessments
Preferred qualifications
Master's Degree Security Management, Criminal Justice, Psychology, or relevant study area
At least 5 years of private sector corporate security or Law Enforcement experience
At least 7 years in Investigations or Threat Assessments
Professional certification in the area of expertise, including Certified Threat Manager (CTM), Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and/or Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)
