The Role

As a, you are a crucial contributor to one of our new game initiatives. As an expert in frontend engineering, you deliver complex features with high-quality, extendable, and stable code. You’ll work from our Helsinki office or your Helsinki home with a team that has a hybrid working style.

Responsibilities

• Build gameplay features and systems, with a focus on UI-centric gaming experiences
• Fix issues and maintain the quality of the codebase
• Take ownership over features and tasks
• Provide input on technical matters
• Collaborate with other stakeholders on game ideas, design, gameplay, and features
• Resolve performance and stability issues
• Create and maintain relevant technical documentation

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Math, or Engineering
• Experience in web front-end development
• Understanding of mobile software platforms (iOS, Android)
• Experience in professional, team-based software development with shipped product(s) and having worked on a live product
• Strong knowledge of TypeScript
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Proactive, self-starter mentality and a can-do attitude
• Good communication skills and proficiency in English
