What We Want You To DoWithin 1 month you’ll:
- Get your bearings and begin to build a strong foundation, upon which to grow
- Build relationships with internal business partners including Marketing and Sales
- Receive administrative training on how to leverage internal tools including Salesforce, Outreach, Connect and Sell, Discover.org and LinkedIn Navigator
- Gain a strong understanding of Technology Business Management space and the business challenges Apptio solves
- Complete your onboarding training
- Begin to cold call and understand how to leverage your knowledge to overcome objection
Within 3 months you’ll:
- Have a strong understanding of the business, and be in a position to help us learn
- Work with your assigned field sales team, managers and peers to gain learning on product, talk track and prospecting
- Become an expert on internal tools and processes
Within 6 months you’ll:
- Begin to consistently hit quota and activity metrics
- Work with your assigned Field Sales Team to shadow demos
- Assist in the development of best practices for lead generation
- Collaborate with your manager to build a continued learning plan
Within 12 months you’ll:
- At 12-months, you will be a well-versed, trusted business-advisor and expert, making a significant positive impact in Lead Generation
- Work with sales and marketing to help create new campaigns to drive pipeline
- Participate in and lead certain onboarding and continuing education programs
- Report, track, and share productivity measurements with your team
- Have a complete understanding of the Apptio product suite
- Identify further personal education opportunities to increase your business and instructional acumen
- Strive for a Sales Development Representative promotion through continued achievement of quota attainment and exhibiting Apptio’s core values
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- BS/BA (Equivalent work experience will be also considered) and 3 months+ years of relevant sales experience highly desired – internship experience will be taken into consideration
- Results driven & competitive nature
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with internal/external clients
- Outstanding time management skills
- Ability to learn and understand and communicate new products and technology
- Fluency in English and one additional language – preferred is Swedish (fluent), German (fluent) or French (native)
