As a Software Engineer for EKS Add-ons, you will play a critical role in how we deliver on our mission. Being part of the team, you will have a multiplying effect in enabling our customers to reliably adopt add-ons. With EKS Add-ons, our customers are able to focus on their core business while taking full advantage of the rich Kubernetes ecosystem in an efficient and productive way.
Key job responsibilities
• Your work focuses on delivering software features and improvements to major portions of your team’s software.
• You design software solutions to enable new features or improve software.
• You effectively make priority tradeoffs between new feature development and operational work.
Work/Life Balance
This position involves on-call responsibilities, typically for one week every two months. We don’t like getting paged in the middle of the night or on the weekend, so we work to ensure that our systems are fault tolerant. When we do get paged, we work together to resolve the root cause so that we don’t get paged for the same issue twice.Mentorship & Career Growth

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
