Driving Infinite Possibilities Within A Diversified, Global Organization

As a Director Operational Technology, you will act as a liaison between IT, Global Security and Manufacturing Engineering, to support and manage OT (Operational Technology) equipment; developing and executing an enterprise-wide approach to manage cyber threats, technical debt and compliance risk in Honeywell OT environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Owns the development and execution of the ISC 3-year Operational Technology and cybersecurity strategy.
  • Plan and prioritize work based on business value across SBGs, balancing risk and available resources, including project work, applications support as well as periodic renewals of manufacturing OT equipment, devices, and OT network Risk Assessments & Risk Acceptance Documents.
  • Provide OT security SME consulting and design reviews in support of technology projects within manufacturing.
  • Obtain buy-in, schedule, and then support cyber security risk assessments of manufacturing sites. Rank risks, provide solution/remediation guidance, and influence adoption. This is across full-stack Operational Technology solutions (applications, databases, infrastructure, networks, industrial Internet of Things, automation equipment), Distribution Center site cyber security.
  • Build and maintain relationships with leadership within areas of responsibility to provide assurance on security risk and influence the direction of resources to appropriate mitigations.
  • Work with IT and support identification and implementation of security tools and design patterns (e.g. firewall deployments, IDR, AV).
  • Develop technical standards, associated training materials, and implementation guidance.
  • Coach and develop the internal team and establish a network of security champions and OT support SMEs within manufacturing globally.
  • Establish and lead a project to implement OT security best practices at pilot sites initially and build a strategy for global deployment.
  • Shape strategy for security capabilities needed within Honeywell manufacturing, influence business funding and adoption, and partner in the selection and deployment of those capabilities.
  • Influence the cyber security strategy for the Honeywell global supply chain.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 8 or more years of experience working in IT/OT and/or Engineering with a focus on supporting Operational Technology and manufacturing systems security, including hands-on implementation level understanding of key security technologies and controls (e.g. remote access, access control, firewalls, anti-malware, patch management, encryption technologies, etc).
  • The position requires strong communication skills as the individual will have direct engagement with senior functional leaders as well as internal partners across all levels of the organization.
  • Working knowledge of the following: IEC 62443/ISA 99, ISO 27001, NIST SP 800-82, CPNI Good Practice.
  • Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

WE VALUE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer engineering, Control engineering, Electrical engineering, Mechanical engineering, or related technical field.
  • Knowledge in analyzing IT/OT and Operational Technology architecture to identify security gaps and crafting solutions.
  • Good understanding of the security landscape including trends in process, tooling, and threats.
  • Understanding of cloud, virtualized environments, and emerging digital capabilities.
  • Demonstrable track record of working within large projects and leading multiple competing priorities.
  • Results Orientated with a sense of Urgency.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to network, interface, and influence at all levels of the organization and cross-functionally.
  • Strong leadership skills and demonstrable ability to influence/collaborate to get to the desired result.

Geographic location: Preferred locations for this position are in Charlotte NC or Phoenix AZ
