Here's what you'll need
- Master’s degree in Anthropology or Archaeology, and/or equivalent experience to be a Permit Holder in British Columbia.
- A minimum of 10-12 years of experience (preferred 15+ years’ experience) completing archaeological assessments in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and/or British Columbia, preferably in a consulting environment.
- Current permit holding, or eligible for Permit Holder Status in one or more of the following provinces or territories: British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, NWT, Yukon.
- Experience engaging with clients, regulatory agencies, stakeholders and Indigenous communities.
- Strong technical writing skills and experience completing desktop assessments to determine permitting requirements and completing all aspects of archaeological and/or heritage (historical) resource impact assessments.
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to simultaneously work on multiple tasks/projects and meet project deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Positive attitude, self-motivated with strong initiative
- A driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract for client meetings.
Ideally, you’ll also have:
- Knowledge of British Columbia archaeology, reporting and regulatory requirements.
- Field Director Status in British Columbia in one or more Culture Regions.
- Willingness to support other environmental disciplines as needed.
- An interest or experience in Project Management is an asset.
