Electronics Materials & Solutions Sales representative East/South

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Sales Representative in 3M’s Electronics Materials Solutions Division, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Designing and implementing EMI (Electromagnetic Interference) and thermal solutions for our electronics customers across various industries, including industrial, military/aerospace, automotive, and medical sectors
  • Building and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at customer sites, understanding their technical challenges and providing consultative support to address their needs
  • Meeting or exceeding designated sales quota in your defined sales territory
  • Developing end-user customers and applications to drive growth of the Electronics Materials & Solutions portfolios
  • Providing key market and customer insights to portfolio managers, marketing, application engineers and leadership
  • Partnering with local converter & channel teams to execute growth initiatives, strategies, and programs
  • Effectively and consistently managing your opportunity pipeline

This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Five (5) years of exceptional sales experience, in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Experience articulating value propositions and system-selling
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Experience developing and managing key accounts
  • Product demonstration experience and competence
  • Strong track record of collaboration and cross-functional teamwork
  • Salesforce.com experience is desired.
