Job Description

Research AssociateResearch Associateis responsible for the day-to-day operation of the local government investment pool programs. You will work extensively and collaboratively with other members of the Client Service Group and the and other internal groups with the goal of providing superior client service in an effort to grow assets in our programs and products. This position is not client facing.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Maintain administrative responsibility for the daily activity of regional local government investment pools

  • Update investor/participant information on internal systems

  • Investigation and resolution of reconciling items in banking accounts or shareholder accounts

  • Investigation and resolution of client issues/concerns

  • Work with the accounting group to resolve all identified cash and share reconciliation differences among programs

  • Work with banking institutions to resolve all discrepancies between PFMAM’s records and bank records

  • Work with Client Services group to resolve client account issues

  • Maintain and update operational procedures on administered programs and services

  • Work with Operations teammates to identify inefficiencies in process and participate in creating solutions

  • Participate in monthly statement production focusing on visual and information checks

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Proficient computer and technical skills:

  • Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Access

  • Actively listens to others

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a changing, fast-paced environment

  • Desire to improve processes, take initiative, and solve problems

  • High School Diploma

  • 2+ years of prior financial services industry experience preferred

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment

  • Able to quickly learn complex concepts and seamlessly manage multiple priorities

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $24.90 - $33.17 - $36.49
