providing CAE support for new vehicle programs,improving modelling methods, contributing tomotion simulator activities, and supporting global modelling initiatives.
This position is based at our Proving Ground Site in Lara, Victoria, and reports into the Vehicle Dynamics CAE Supervisor.
- Build, analyse and manage high fidelity Adams Car models for handling, steering, ride and road loads cascade analysis
- Create finite element flexible bodies to use in Adams Car models
- Work closely with attribute engineers, design & release engineers and suppliers to develop compatible vehicle and component level solutions
- Develop modelling methods to create continuous improvements in accuracy and efficiency.
- Convert Adams models to CarSim models and contribute to Simulator drive activities.
- Interface with Core teams to share and learn about latest methods and techniques.
- Contribute to global modelling initiatives including internal support software tools and model storage/management.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering required
- 5+ years of experience with Adams Car.
- In-depth understanding of Vehicle Dynamics concepts and development.
- Experience in durability/road loads is highly desirable.
- Experience with advanced Adams modelling methods (flex bodies, high fidelity tire models, 3D road profiles, road load cascading, co-simulation, etc.).
- Ability to effectively and efficiently manage multiple issues across multiple programs.
- Knowledge and experience in balancing attributes.
