A Typical Day:

• Prioritizing projects across stakeholders and scope to deliver impact to our web engineering community
• Fostering relationships with partner teams and stakeholders
• Collaborating with other platform teams on shared projects / principles
• Coaching and mentoring the team with empathy to do their best work while growing in their roles and responsibilities
• Partnering with Staff and Sr. Staff engineers to assist them in aligning architecture trade-offs and designing strategy
• Creating deliberate plans and opportunities to systematically address technical debt and improve code quality
• Contributing to the broader organization’s culture and processes with a “first team” mentality

Your Expertise:

• 2+ years of experience as a full-time manager
• Experience supporting and coaching Staff+ (ideally multiple) and Senior engineers
• Experience managing a remote/distributed team
• Familiarity with, and interest in, best practices for developer productivity
• Experience (beyond configuration) working with bundlers, testing frameworks, editor integrations, frontend build/CI systems, observability tooling, or developer environments.
