All of OID’s work is executed remotely and you will collaborate with other teams within Amazon like AWS Networking, IT Services, Technical Program Managers and Low Voltage Contractors (LVC’s). You will be an integral part of the APAC OID team that is based in Sydney. The role will require you to work from our state of the art corporate offices in the heart of Sydney CBD. The office is well connected to public transport hubs in the Sydney CBD.Key job responsibilities
- Create and implement configuration changes on the network, during scheduled change management windows.
- Troubleshoot networking, routing and inter connectivity issues, including troubleshooting of network device configurations.- Create and review documentation and process regarding network implementation/deployments, recurring issues, new standard operating procedures, knowledge transfer material, etc.

- BS/BE/BTech in Information Systems, Computer Science or other Engineering disciplines or similar relevant educational background.
- 3+ years of enterprise experience as a technician or engineer; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- CCNA certification or similar/equivalent networking certifications.

- Experience as a network engineer in a corporate office environment, experience with physical infrastructure installations and basic troubleshooting skills.
- Understanding of infrastructure technologies, including Routers and Switches as well as an understanding of common networking protocols (BGP, OSPF, VRF)
- Experience working with Cisco routers/switches/firewalls.
- Experience deploying or supporting Aruba or Cisco wireless network equipment.
- Basic scripting/programming with Python (preferred) and fundamental knowledge in version control (preferably Git Framework).
