In this role, you will interface with industry leaders across Australia and the international business community who are at the forefront of research and innovation. Your advisory skills will be crucial in aiding clients to navigate and secure Research and Development (R&D) Tax Incentives, which are essential for fostering investment, growth, and to build a better working world.

As a trusted advisor, you will oversee and contribute to the preparation and review of R&D Tax Incentive claims including the associated project documentation and expenditure calculations. Your management acumen will be put to the test as you handle all aspects of the R&D claim process. Your role will also encompass providing comprehensive Government Incentive advisory services to a diverse portfolio of clients, from emerging startups to established multinational corporations.

You will also assist clients in identifying and securing a range of State and Federal grants and incentives, ensuring they maximise their potential benefits. Your expertise will also extend to advising on R&D tax corporate governance and leading responses to regulatory audits and reviews, whilst exposing you to the other advisory services provided by EY.

• Experience with the R&D Tax Incentive program
• Previous experience at the ATO or AusIndustry or in working with the regulators in audits or reviews of the R&D Tax Incentive
• Real-world experience in dealing with technical challenges faced by industry
• Strong emotional intelligence
• Business acumen and relevant commercial exposure in terms of understanding the marketability of new products andprocesses.
• Leadership skills and ambitions, and experience with or ambition todelegate, coach, and mentor junior team members
• Strong attention to detail and focus onquality.
• A collaborative working style with excellent communication and presentational skills (both oral and written)
