As an Analyst in the Equity Derivatives Group Sales team, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing Institutional investor relationships for the Bank.
You will work closely with the Trading and Structuring teams to provide comprehensive client coverage on Cross Asset Structured Products with a focus on equity derivatives products (options and swaps), including fulfilling client requests for market updates and executing client orders.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide marketing ideas and help initiate transactions.
- Support the day to day client requests and needs across derivatives products; implement selling as a continuum -- independently and effectively complete a transaction from start to finish (make the call; send the research; sell and close the deal; execute trades including on the ASX exchange; book the trade).
- Build and maintain relationship with clients, provide clients with regular market updates and investment performance insights.
- Work closely with traders, risk managers, structurers to design and execute new product offerings; work with senior team members to identify potential investors.
- Understand drivers of relevant markets and establish a high degree of competence with clients around executing trades.
- Understands the firm's approach and policies for managing risks in relevant business and applicable legal and regulatory rules, and follows policies and build foundation of trust with clients by demonstrating an understanding of their needs, clearly articulating desk ideas, and being responsive.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Minimum 1 year of relevant working experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or other related disciplines
- Demonstrate a keen interest in learning and a fast learner, quickly adaption to new tools and technologies and staying up to date with industry trends and best practices; Results driven mindset and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and deliver high quality work.
- Excellent quantitative and analytic skills including proficiency in financial modeling and experience with data analysis with strong attention to details.
- Ability to manage multiple task and priorities effectively in a high intensity environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal partners.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing market conditions and client needs.
- Familiarity with relevant regulatory frameworks.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Experience in conducting analysis on derivatives strategies including equities, fixed income, commodity and alternative risk premia structurers and collaborate with senior team members to develop and execute these investment strategies for clients.
- Experience with executing listed options on the ASX (DTR licensed).
