Stay abreast of state-of-the-art security in the Identity space. Work with service teams on deep security assessments of their technology. Help build on and raise the security bar of our services. Identify and analyze new data classes of issue to find novel patterns that can be passed to engineering, pentesting, and variant analysis to scale up security protections for Microsoft Identity. Collaborate with engineering and partner teams (MSTIC, MSRC, M365, XBox, Azure and others) in achieving our objectives. • 4+ years experience in cybersecurity, and/or anomaly detection, software development lifecycle, large-scale computing, or data science BS Degree in Computer Science, Electrical & Computer Engineering or Mathematics or equivalent experience
• Ability to quickly assimilate information on complex systems, build mental models and context upon which to reason about the security properties of that system.
• Previous experience in any of the following: identity systems, security, threat intelligence, fraud, abuse
• An ability to drive good decisions through data with great attention to detail and excellent logical problem-solving skills
• Proven experience with rapid prototyping, evaluation, and iterative improvement
• Proficiency with one of more of Python, SQL, C#, C++
• Strong communication skills with a demonstrated bias towards collaboration and team work
• Any expereince with Microsoft products such as Entra or Identity is a positive
• Consultancy/people facing experience is also a positive

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft background and Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

The Identity Product Security team is at the forefront of security for Identity for Microsoft. Product security is responsible for identifying security issues in our product offerings and helping teams mitigate issues at scale. Responsibilities include:

• Provide security expertise to response teams as required on unexploited vulnerabilities to attacks against Microsoft and attacks against our customers.
• Be subject matter experts consulted on for bug bounty issues and other security concerns.
• Reviews root cause of security incidents and help abstract lessons learned.
• Develop new processes and opportunities for automation to help scale security processes.
• Collaborate with engineering and partner teams (MSTIC, MSRC, M365, XBox, Azure and others) in achieving our objectives.
