Senior Systems Engineer – Directory ServicesAs a Senior Systems Engineer with the Directory Services team, you will be an integral part of modernizing Active Directory and Domain infrastructure through cloud migrations, domain consolidation, and implementation of cutting-edge technology and practices. You’ll own the administration of Hybrid Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and Cloud environments. Your goals are to administer and secure Active Directory environments, migrate and simplify Active Directory infrastructure, and modernize work intake processes to reduce ticket overhead. About the Role:
- Part of a team of Engineers responsible for Active Directory Domains, Microsoft Entra ID, Group Policy, Cloud-based infrastructure, Entra Connect, and internal Microsoft DNS
- Administration of AWS infrastructure including EC2 instances, EBS volumes, Load Balancers, Backups, and Cost Optimization
- Identification of recurring tasks and implementation of automated process resolution
- Vulnerability and Patch Management of Cloud-based infrastructure
- Implementation of industry-standard best practices such as CIS Benchmarks & NIST Standards
- Planning, prioritization, and implementation of Directory Services roadmap
- Collaboration with Engineering teams to support business applications and initiatives
- Documentation of existing and new processes
- Mentor other team members
- Pull together disparate processes and systems as part of the modernization of the current environment
- Influence design of the new infrastructure: bring ideas to the team and see them through to fruition
About You:
- 5+ years experience working with Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Group Policy, AWS, Entra Connect, and Microsoft DNS
- Strong understanding of Active Directory and Group Policy administration and maintenance, including domain consolidation and cleanup
- Knowledge of cloud automation and orchestration tools such as Terraform
- Working knowledge of ITSM tools such as Jira
- Automation and scripting (PowerShell) prowess
- Ability to work independently (no micromanagement!) with a solid sense of ownership
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Exceptional problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills
- Understand the impact of changes and upgrades you make
