Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or related quantitative field
- 5+ years relevant experience with large scale data engineering
- Prior experience focused on experiment design and/or A/B testing at scale Able to demonstrate application of the statistical underpinnings of experimentation: hypothesis testing, p-values, causal inference, etc
- Familiar with statistical analysis and programming languages (e.g. R / Python)
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer, with a strong background in data warehouse design and data modeling.
- Expertise in SQL and experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, or similar.
- Experience with data visualization tools and platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, SQL and Scala.
- Experience in cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and their application in data analysis.
- Ability to work independently and partner with cross functional teams to manage end to end product development
- Ability to communicate technical and statistical concepts clearly and concisely among audiences at many different levels
