Senior Associate – PR and Media Relations
This role requires a dynamic, proactive communicator as well as a professional in media management adept at moving from strategy to ground execution, commands strong understanding of media and social media relations, has a good network of media contacts, and excels at building strong relationships with senior-level stakeholders.
Your key responsibilities
- Liaison with our PR agency and be the point of contact between the organization and the vendor
- execute media operations, including day-to-day media queries and media monitoring, media briefings, media events, press material, briefing packs and powerful pitches
- Work with stakeholders to write, develop and activate thought leadership articles for various external communications platforms
- Work collaboratively with BMC colleagues to build compelling campaigns that reach a broad range of stakeholders, maximising the PR and external affairs opportunities by using a wide range of PR and external comms tactics.
- Build and maintain effective journalist relationships to support EY’s BMC strategy and manage risks.

To qualify for the role, you must have
- Education: Graduation (ideally with degree in Mass Communications is preferred).
- Experience: 3 to 5 years (ideally in some media agency; relative / similar work in some other organization preferred).
- Experience of working with a broad range of stakeholders, contributing to integrated communications and marketing campaigns.
- The intellectual rigor and creativity to work with the complex and sometimes technical subject matter.
- A thorough understanding of PR and media relations strategies, including experience of using social media as part of integrated communications campaigns.
- Proven ability to form strong and effective working relationships with journalists and other external influencers.
- A strong team player and lateral thinker, comfortable working collaboratively, virtually and independently.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Experience in media relations and corporate communications for large and complex organizations.
- Experience stakeholder management as part of wider communications campaigns.
