Required/Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience in public policy and/or government relations, advocacy,risk management, or compliance work
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Professional experience to identify, monitor, analyze, and communicate relevant regulatory policy trends, legislative proposals and issues of importance to senior executives.
  • Ability to influence with limited control, comfortable working through ambiguity, manage priorities independently and work across multiple time zones.
  • Industry experience at building support with stakeholders, collaborating with diverse, cross-sector stakeholder groups in particular, experience working with government affairs, public policy, legal counsel, trade associations, NGOs and/or academia.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings:
    • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications:

  • 7+ years' direct experience in agovernmentaffairs, public relations, public policy, trade association or legal team in a large technology company, government agency or NGO
  • Deep understanding of public policy issues around the data center industry, data security, privacy, ESG and sustainability
  • Proven network within the datacenter and cloud technology and services industry and beyond.
  • Data management and/or business analytics experience
  • Analytical and creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and surface insights to make informed decisions
  • Demonstrated track record of creating innovative approaches to adapting corporate processes and policies
  • Demonstrated track record of impact on a global program with clear targets and milestones
