* Conduct thorough electrical and optical characterization of LED devices for efficiency, color, thermal behavior and reliability* Analyze test data and provide feedback to design and process teams for device improvement; generate comprehensive technical reports and documentations* Design and implement reliability test protocols, analyze degradation mechanisms and propose corrective actions to improve* Collaborate with multi-functional teams including optical, electrical, mechanical engineers to ensure seamless integration with final product* Troubleshoot and resolve display-related issues during the product development lifecycle
- PhD degree in Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Photonics, or a related field
- Experience with optoelectronic characterization techniques and tools
- Experience interpreting complex data and communicate findings clearly to broader teams
- Experience using statistical tools (JMP, etc.) and programming languages (Python, MATLAB, etc)
- Technical expertise in III-V semiconductor device physics, e.g., LEDs, lasers, photodetectors or a related field
- Exposure to reliability testing and failure analysis of LEDs or similar semiconductor devices
- Experience with cleanroom fabrication processes
- Critical thinking and trouble shooting skills
- Ability to facilitate effective cross-functional collaboration
- Experience to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to own areas of responsibility, being able to self-motivate
