Key job responsibilities
• Design and develop innovative features for Kindle's supplemental content ecosystem across iOS, Android, and eReader devices
• Build and enhance generative ML systems to create responsive reading experiences.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceive, design, and implement new ways for readers to interact with their books
• Create scalable, high-performance solutions for search, content indexing, and real-time information systems to bring more context to the reading experience
• Work in an agile environment to continuously improve the reading experience for millions of customers globallyA day in the lifeThe challenges you'll solve for are meaningful and diverse - from helping readers quickly find information within books to creating experiences to help them reconnect with stories. We're looking for engineers who are passionate about creating new ways to experience books, comfortable managing ambiguity, and excited to iterate quickly based on customer feedback.

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
