Responsibilities:
- Review service quality, production systems, and client reporting within cash and trade operations
- Compile and maintain metrics on the team for overall productivity, and document periods of frequent inactivity with request for rationale
- Assist with quality assurance reviews
- Supply monthly scorecards to your directs and hold monthly one-on-one meetings to gauge progress against productivity standards
- Hold bi-weekly/monthly team meetings to cover updates, changes, and other notable information
- Analyze complex and variable issues and ensure team deliverables meet performance and quality expectations
- Manage performance, identify areas of development/training and make recommendations for promotions, terminations, hiring, etc. of team
- Manage team schedule/calendar and outage/vacation requests in accordance with acceptable thresholds
- Execute all assigned daily/weekly/monthly peer group tasks, and any ad-hoc requests
- Provide consistent coaching and objective feedback through training in support of ongoing team development to further understanding of the processes
- Actively share information and knowledge with employees not familiar with processes within your responsibility, including new hires, new transfers, and business partners
- Leverage subject matter expertise to act as a first-level escalation point, analyze potential opportunities for improvement, and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to find a solution
- Actively engage in succession planning- through coaching, shadowing, and training of B11 population for potential next role in career progression
- Contribute to planning, budget management and formulation of procedures
- Serve as backup to the Cash and Trade Operations Senior Manager
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Qualifications:
5-8 years of experience in a related cash and trade operations management role
Excellent verbal and written communication and analytical skills
Self-motivated with strong time management skills
Ability to work in high-volume, high pressure processing environment
Ability to multi-task and prioritize
Flexible and able to shift between different functions quickly and efficiently
Strong computer skills including Word and Excel
Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
