The Americas Assurance Transactional and Technical Topics (“T3”) group encompasses the centralization

You’ll help internal EY engagement teams and external clients meet their reporting requirements by executing substantive audit and internal control procedures and providing meaningful insights within a specific complex area of audit. The T3 Business Combinations and Impairments topic is growing and looking for individuals with an interest in continuing to develop deep technical accounting and audit skills related to complex transactions, as well as analyses related to indefinite-lived intangible assets. Your key responsibilities

Everything you’ll do will come back to executing high quality audits and providing exceptional client service. Colleagues and clients from a diverse array of backgrounds will look to you first for answers, so you’ll be a high-you’ll become a credible advisor, influencing clients and engagement teams on resolutions that will impact entire industries.


Skills and attributes for success

  • Leading fieldwork, managing performance, and managing audit flow of a specific complex auditarea across multiple engagements, keeping engagement leaders updated
  • Coaching internal EY engagement teams in completing robust risk assessments in a specific complexaudit area and co-developing a responsive audit plan
  • Completing audit processes and documenting higher-risk areas to increase your technical andbusiness skills in a specific complex audit area
  • Engaging internal EY engagement teams and external clients and providing authoritative adviceand professionalism throughout the audit
  • Developing a strong perspective of best practice within a specific complex audit area anddelivering relevant insights to internal and external clients
  • Constantly developing your understanding of current market trends within a specific complexaudit area and processes and sharing your knowledge to develop junior colleagues
  • Understanding clients’ unique ambitions and needs and referring them to colleagues in otherteams and areas
  • Overseeing engagement economics and managing appropriate resources for efficientengagement models within a specific complex audit area
  • Use technology to continually learn, share knowledge and enhance service delivery

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business discipline, supported by 8 years' work experience as an auditor in a public accounting firm
  • Targeted and strong knowledge of business combinations and/or indefinite-lived intangible asset impairment analyses
  • US CPA licensure in your work state
  • Experience leading the planning, execution and reporting on audits of financial statements applying US GAAP
  • Experience with SEC clients using SOX 404 and applying PCAOB standards
  • Proven project management skills
  • Excellent communication and a collaborative approach to management
  • The flexibility to constantly learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary
  • Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver’s license is strongly recommended as ride share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Sector experience in one of the following: diversified industrial products; consumer goods; oil & gas; technology

What we offer
We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $98,900 to $225,800. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $118,700 to $256,600. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
