Your impact

The role:

  • Lead client discussions and negotiations.
  • Lead the design and delivery of architecture and/or multi-discipline Built Environment projects.
  • Forge and maintain connections with the ANZ and broader Health sector.
  • Contribute to and lead the technical strength of the team, as well as the wider regional Jacobs business.
  • Develop and solidify strong client relationships by demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and successful delivery.
  • Provide overall programming, master planning and hospital design planning.
  • Coordinate and integrate other discipline elements and systems into unified designs.
  • Communicate with client/user groups to understand project requirements; prepare client presentations, illustrative design studies and reports.
  • Be across the drawing and specification documentation for schematic through to detailed design phases of hospital design projects. May work on early project phases including master planning, and conceptual development.
  • Prepare quantitative data to support cost estimates.
  • Review submittals, addresses contractor requests for information and conducts periodic on-site visits to monitor contractor’s compliance with detailed design documents during project construction phase.
  • Periodic travel to project sites

You will be required to:

  • Lead design and delivery documentation and coordination of projects, including a working knowledge of dRofus and Revit.
  • Prepare design documentation, specifications, and reports.
  • Conduct and lead internal learning and development /knowledge-sharing on area of expertise.
  • Support the interface with the design team across discipline and organisational boundaries.
  • Balance competing requirements on projects to deliver a design outcome (e.g. cost v. time v. quality v. scope)
  • Support and contribute to the management of operational risk, including project delivery, HSE, quality and service.
  • Keep up to date with technical publications and innovations.
  • Support business development and project bids.
  • Have strong proficiency in Word processing and spreadsheet software applications.
  • Participate in professional organizations and present at conferences.
Here's what you'll need

To be a successful candidate, you shall possess:

  • A recognized Architectural degree and a Registered Architect.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in hospital design, AusHFG, and other standards referenced in Singapore, construction documentation, construction administration, materials and methods of construction, model building codes and accessibility guidelines.
  • Advanced hospital design experience working directly with clients’ senior management representatives, doctors, hospital executives and nurses, facilities managers, project managers and other stakeholders in determining, developing, and documenting programmatic requirements.
  • Strong design and communication skills, design management experience to lead projects from concept design through to delivery.
  • Detailed understanding of good design, detailing, methodologies and techniques
  • Strong organizational skills to effectively balance multiple priorities; coordinate work with engineering disciplines and specialty consultants, working independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Able to write scope descriptions and estimate hours to design and document design services related to this discipline.
  • Highly responsible and motivated to achieve total project success; promotes project and Jacobs goals of client service, design excellence, innovation and sustainability.
