Advanced Hardware Engineer

As an Advanced Hardware Engineer here at Honeywell, you will be a key contributor to the development of cutting-edge hardware solutions within thegroup. You will play a critical role in guiding and driving the hardware design process, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and reliable products for the aerospace industry. Your expertise in hardware design and test, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and technical guidance will be instrumental in shaping the future of technology and aviation solutions.In this role, you will have an impact by guiding and driving the hardware development process, defining hardware requirements, and testing avionics hardware in a variety of environments for integrated flight deck solutions. Your work will contribute to the seamless integration of hardware components, enhancing the overall performance and functionality of our products.


Key Responsibilities
  • Perform hardware testing and validation to ensure product performance and reliability
  • Work with cross-functional teams to define hardware requirements and specifications
  • Identify and propose technical improvements by applying advanced electronic design principles
  • Guide and drive the hardware design process, from concept to production
  • Provide technical guidance to junior engineers
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies
  • Participate in project planning for new product development
YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
  • 5+ years of experience in hardware design and development
  • Experience with hardware testing and validation
  • Strong knowledge of hardware design ethics and methodologies
  • Proficiency in schematic capture
WE VALUE
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Experience with Environmental and EMI Qualification Testing (DO160, MIL-810F…)
  • Proven track record of successful hardware design projects
  • Ability to guide and mentor junior engineers
  • Strong insight of industry standards and best practices
  • Experience with high-speed digital and analog circuit debugging
  • Knowledge of FPGA-based designs and standards (DO-254)
  • Excellent problem-solving and thoughtful skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
