As a Prime Brokerage Inventory Management Analyst in Prime Brokerage Inventory Management team, you will perform Cash and Repo transaction inventory management predominately via pair off activity. You will ensure the payments or receipts are settled timely as well as transactions are settled down and reconciled timely and effectively.

Job responsibilities

• Identifies and agrees eligible pair off opportunities with Brokers by the required timeframe daily
• Initiates payments and/or ensures net cash receipts are agreed and paid by brokers timely and monitor and follow up on non-receipt
• Ensures trades are settled in an accurate, timely and efficient manner
• Ensure all transaction status updates are reflected in the workflow tool for clear audit trail and client reporting
• Escalate of unmatched trades, outstanding cash or any such urgent matters or requirements for assistance
• Completes, reviews, and approves End of Day controls
• Creates of detailed business control metrics
• Ensures all tasks are completed within timeframes, processing windows, market regulations, bank policies, and what is deemed prudent to minimize risk
• Maintains process related reference data
• Actions and performs root cause analysis on the activities for opportunities to improve the operating model and reduce turn-around times
• Participates in initiatives to develop and improve the function and operating model including root cause analysis, process improvement, technology development deliverables etc.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Ensure awareness of and compliance with relevant policies, controls, regulations and escalation protocols.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Practical knowledge of JPM suite of digital ops tools
• Familiarity with the settlement and mechanics or the Prime Brokerage product
• A naturally curious thinker with a hunger to learn and teach others
• An optimistic approach to problem solving - views problems as opportunities and not roadblocks
