The position requires a blend of expertise in HW design and ecosystem management, HW Customer Engineering, IPS, HW technical program management, reliability, product test, device and chipset architectures, as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills.

The
key responsibilitiesof this role include:

  • Lead the roadmap, product definition and strategy for Hardware reference designs using Qualcomm chipsets (application processors, modems) targeted for IoT applications.

  • Write and maintain PRDs for various reference designs and evaluation kits and define detailed specifications, KPIs and benchmarks.

  • Establishes cost targets in line with market requirements, competitive offerings while working closely with business, engineering, packaging, test and sourcing teams.

  • Owner of product kits for such reference design and development kits, including software, documentation, tools and go to market for mass market scaling.

  • Works with business development and sales teams, assisting with forecasting and opportunity funnel for mass production and sampling.

  • Define requirements for development kits and reference platforms built on internal or external modules, targeting ease of use for hardware and software application developers.

  • Expertise in defining requirements for robotics, AI/edge boxes, camera and vision-based development kits a definite plus.

  • Define use cases, platform architecture and the total solution value proposition.

  • Define and maintain the ecosystem reference design and development kit roadmap while working closely OEMs, ODMs, ADCs, CMs, channel and scaling partners and lead customers to ensure product success.

  • Work with software product management team to define E2E software and long-term maintenance strategy for modules and reference designs.

  • Coordinate necessary materials from internal functional teams for RFI and RFQ responses as well as detailed module related customer responses in a timely fashion.

  • Assemble and maintain up to date information and intelligence on competitive module offerings.

  • Working independently with little supervision

  • Making decisions that are significant in impact; maintains rapid progress and removes roadblocks.

  • Using verbal and written communication skills to convey complex and/or detailed information to multiple individuals/audiences with differing knowledge levels.

  • Negotiates with external parties and internal groups for necessary support.

  • Works closely with cross BU product management, engineering and packaging to ensure designs are being completed with cost targets as a primary requirement.

  • Building Trusting Relationships – The ability to build trusting, collaborative relationships and rapport with different types of people and businesses.

  • Mentoring and Coaching – The ability to develop, coach, and mentor associates.

  • Product Management – The ability to direct a comprehensive product strategy and how to introduce them into the Automotive market and ecosystem.

  • Continuous communication which includes the comprehension of information with colleagues, customers, and vendors both in person and remotely

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Humanities, or related field.

• 5+ years of Product Management or related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Advanced degree in engineering or computer science or MBA

· 10+ years of Product Management experience managing complete cycle of products from concept to commercialization, defining product requirements document, change requests and prioritization of commercial feature requests.

· Deep understanding of operational aspects like reliability and product test.

· Experience in dealing with HW vendors and ecosystem.

· Working knowledge of one or more operating systems like Android, Yocto Linux, Ubuntu OR Windows IoT

Pay range:

$171,000.00 - $256,000.00
