As a Senior Stormwater Engineer/Senior Landscape Architect, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a variety of exciting and engaging infrastructure projects, including some of the region’s leading large-scale projects and programs for local agencies and municipalities. In this position you will lead stormwater analysis and design and hydrologic & hydrologic (H&H) modeling for a variety of water resources-related projects, including water quality retrofits and habitat restoration, as well as transportation projects (e.g., transit, site development, highway, and light rail extensions). Work may include design from concept level to final construction documents, including writing and assembling stormwater and H&H reports; preparing and/or managing illustrative exhibits for project proposals, concept developments, and public presentations; and/or, supporting construction administration. Candidates with a wide variety of successful design and task leadership experience would be viewed favorably. Typical activities may include performing H&H analysis; providing and/or QC’ing detailed calculations; overseeing the production of construction plans, drainage reports, specifications, and cost estimates; communicating designs and technical information to clients, stakeholders, permitting agencies, and internal team members; and, delegating similar tasks to early- and mid-career staff. H&H software typically used for projects include the Western Washington Hydrology Model (WWHM), MGSFlood, SWMM, PCSWMM, XPSWMM, HEC-HMS, InfoWorks ICM, and others required to meet State, local, and Federal agency requirements.
You will have the opportunity to exercise judgment and make recommendations in the development and creation of storm drainage plans for complex, multi-disciplined projects, with the potential for multiple types of construction delivery methods, such as design-build. In this role you will have ample opportunity for career growth as you lead engineering teams and support staff development.
