As a Senior Technical Supervisor you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Leading and supervising a team of manufacturing engineers
• Lead cross-functional and cross-site collaboration to develop and manage capacity attainment plans and value stream improvement plans to safely deliver quality and service to our customers.
• Ensuring that engineering deliverables are aligned with the goals and timelines of the plant and supported divisions
• Qualifying, Developing and Supporting New Product Introductions
• Developing the technical abilities of the manufacturing engineering team
• Leading and continually developing self and others at multiple levels of the organization through supervision, providing recognition, policy administration, continuous coaching for improvement and participation in hiring processes.
• Collaborating with cross functional partners such as process engineering, quality, plant engineering and resident engineering, to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the organization
• Providing technical product support to Operations

Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in an Engineering and/or Science discipline (completed and verified prior to start)
• Seven (7) years combined years of engineering and/or manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment.
• Two (2) years of experience leading and coaching continuous improvement projects

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Experience supervising engineers in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams
• Ability to effectively use statistics in analyzing process data
