We are excited to welcome a Technical Team Lead to be part of the New Kranji Water Reclamation Project team in Singapore. The Technical Team Lead leads the discipline team to develop the design of large water infrastructure project to enable the safe and successful project delivery to the client in accordance with the contract requirements. You will prioritise and direct the design work, lead the Design Team to develop the preliminary and detailed design of the project. You will be responsible for the overall technical accuracy and adequacy of the design and provides oversight for interdisciplinary and inter-package coordination across the whole project. You will provide leadership, champion inclusion and diversity, drive global delivery, support a culture of innovation, apply a disciplined deployment of resources and ensure delivery excellence across the project.
The essential duties and responsibilities of the Technical Team Lead include:
- Ultimately responsible for design team technical performance, resourcing and design program.
- Responsible for the delivery and integration of the discipline design packages to ensure a complete design is delivered.
- Ensure technical conformance of the design to the Client’s specifications, and all applicable standards, regulations, and legislation by assuring that the quality processes are undertaken.
- Provides support, guidance, and direction to Design Leads, Package Leads and Discipline Professionals to facilitate the effective delivery of the project objectives.
- Review of all deliverables from the Design and Package Leads for quality and cohesiveness prior to issue to the Client, Stakeholders and Contractor(s).
- Approval and issue of all design deliverables, documentation and correspondence to Client, Stakeholders and Contractor(s).
- Responsible for identification of design changes to scope of work and immediately inform PM and EM.
- Responsible for immediate reporting to PM and EM of risks arising from inadequate levels of resourcing to meet schedule, time delays, cost overruns, scope changes, technical issues, etc.
- Day to day management of technical aspects for project risk register.
To be a successful candidate you shall possess:
- Minimum Degree in Civil Engineering. Registered as a Professional Engineer (PEB) and/or Chartered Engineer will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 12 years of proven experience in delivering large-scale infrastructure projects. Experience in Water Infrastructure projects will be an added advantage.
- Prior experience working on PUB projects will be an added advantage.
- The ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team and act as a consultant to our Client.
