As a Drone Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and routine service to ensure our drones meet design specifications and remain in safe operating condition. You will collaborate closely with engineering, flight operations, and other Prime Air teams to fulfill your responsibilities effectively. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong analytical skills who thrives both independently and in a team environment.Please note that this role may require up to six months of travel per year.This position may be subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) drug and alcohol testing if conducting safety-sensitive functions as defined by the FAA. This includes pre-employment drug testing, random drug and alcohol testing, and testing in the event of an accident or incident. Employees must also submit to reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol testing when necessary. The FAA has strict requirements for drug testing, including the types of drugs tested for, the procedures for collecting and testing samples, and the consequences of a positive test. Federal law also requires Amazon to determine an applicant's DOT drug and/or alcohol testing history prior to hiring them into a position that would require them to conduct safety-sensitive functions as defined by the FAA.

- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License
- Proficiency in Linux
- Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages
- Experience creating CAD files from loose specifications
- Strong understanding of FAA rules and regulations
- Experience with UAS flight testing or the commercial drone industry
