What You’ll Do

  • Be a Key Leader of Uber’s People Data Strategy – Drive a scalable and secure data model that supports the migration to Oracle HCM while ensuring alignment with our broader HR, Finance, and Engineering teams.
  • Oversee Master Data Management (MDM) – Define and implement best practices for employee data governance and security access management, ensuring compliance and consistency across the organization.
  • Build and Scale Data Quality Management – Develop monitoring processes, validation frameworks, and governance structures to ensure ongoing data integrity.
  • Drive Reporting Excellence – Establish a centralized reporting function, creating a streamlined process for delivering people insights and consolidating over 3,000+ existing reports into an efficient and structured framework.
  • Be a Key Player in Uber’s HCM Migration – Lead the data aspects of our transition from Workday and ICIMS to Oracle HCM (January 2026) to simplify data structures & minimize manual data entry to increase data quality & process efficiency.
  • Enable Self-Service Data Access – Develop intuitive tools and processes that empower Uber’s business leaders to access the data they need without reliance on manual reporting.
  • Influence & Collaborate with Senior Leaders – Partner with People & Places, Finance, Engineering, and Legal to align on data strategy, governance, and security best practices.
  • Lead and Grow a High-Performing Team – Manage and expand a team of data professionals responsible for MDM, reporting, and data quality management, with a focus on developing Uber’s long-term people data infrastructure.

Basic Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in People Analytics, HR Data Management, or a related field.
  • Prior experience implementing complex HCM migrations (Oracle HCM preferred).
  • Experience building data governance frameworks and defining master data management best practices in a global organization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous leadership experience in a high-growth tech company with global HR data operations.
  • Understanding of multi-system HR tech ecosystems (e.g., Workday, ICIMS, ServiceNow, Oracle HCM).
  • Experience in data security, compliance, and access management within a large-scale organization.
  • Strong ability to balance long-term strategic initiatives with hands-on execution.
  • Passion for building data-driven cultures.
  • Ability to drive cross-functional collaboration across HR, Finance, Engineering, and business leaders.
  • Proven track record of building and scaling centralized reporting functions, particularly in

    complex, high-growth environments.

  • Comfortable operating in highly ambiguous, fast-paced environments where documentation and predefined processes may not exist.

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with a bias for action and iterative execution.

For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$230,000 per year - USD$255,500 per year.

For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$230,000 per year - USD$255,500 per year.
