The AWS Region Services team is seeking a Principal Systems Development Engineer to lead our Services team. You’ll join a diverse team of applied scientists, software engineers, and security experts. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for security and safety while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. - Lead the development, maintenance and growth of our services platforms. These platforms verify the correctness of our network security controls using technologies like observability, packet injection, automated reasoning, static analysis, and machine learning.- Through effective leadership and partnerships within Infrastructure Security, elevate the AWS Services delivery in region.

- 5+ years of engineering team management experience
- 10+ years of engineering experience
- 10+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and operations
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams
