We’re seeking an Applied Scientist with a deep expertise in matching and ranking systems. Your responsibilities will include everything from developing and prototyping innovative retrieval systems with NLP and Transformer, query planning, deep learning to operating and optimizing a scalable distributed inference solutions in a production environment. We are looking for innovators who can contribute to advancing search technology on what’s scientifically possible while remaining committed to creating world-class products.
Key job responsibilities
* Act as the technical leader in Machine Learning, Information Retrieval, and drive full life-cycle Machine Learning projects.* Build machine learning models, perform proof-of-concept, experiment, optimize, and deploy your models into production.
* Run A/B experiments, gather data, and perform statistical tests.
* Establish scalable, efficient, automated processes for large-scale data mining, machine-learning model development, model validation and serving.
* Work closely with junior scientists, software engineers and product managers to assist in productizing your ML models.
* Establish new research initiatives to shape our long-term science vision.
* Act as a mentor to other Scientists on the team.

3+ years of building machine learning models for business application experience PhD, or Master's degree and 6+ years of applied research experienceExperience programming in Java, C++, Python or related languageExperience with neural deep learning methods and machine learning

Experience with modeling tools such as R, scikit-learn, Spark MLLib, MxNet, Tensorflow, numpy, scipy etc.Experience with large scale distributed systems such as Hadoop, Spark etc.
