What you’ll do

As a Developer (f/m/d) for the SAP Cloud Platform Build team, you will join an emerging development team as a full stack developer. Your main responsibilities will include designing, coding, and testing product features throughout the complete product lifecycle.

Your tasks as Developer (f/m/d) include to:

• Design, code, and test product features in a development team.
• Collaborate closely with other team members to contribute to team success.
• Adapt to changing work environments and technologies.
• Drive projects forward with a proactive and self-responsible working style.

What you bring

• University degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field with 1+ years of experience in Cloud software development.
• Successful track record in agile cloud software development and an affinity for open-source software.
• Strong analytical skills and understanding of multiple programming paradigms.
• Professional programming experience in one or more of Scala, Java, Python, JavaScript, Typescript, or Go, as well as skills in at least one backend framework such as Spring Boot or NodeJS.
• CNCF technology knowledge (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker, HELM) and proven experience with web-based API practices (e.g., REST, OpenAPI Specification, GraphQL, OData, JSON).
• Strong collaboration skills, as well as interpersonal and communication skills; reliable, open-minded, and able to work independently and prioritize with a can-do attitude throughout changing environments and technologies.
• Fluent English language skills, written and spoken. German language skills are beneficial.

Beneficial

• Experience in operating a cloud service and in cloud delivery tools and processes.
• Prior contributions to open-source projects.
• Solid frontend development skills with JavaScript (ES6), HTML5 and SAP UI5, React, or Angular.
