Government and Public Sector – Cloud Engineer - Manager
As a Data Analytics - Cloud Engineer, you'll be expected to be certified in cloud architecture and lean into intelligent infrastructure. This includes architect network, storage, compute, IAM, and other cloud services in support of large-scale system deliveries. You'll employ DevOps practices to automate cloud service creation, configuration, maintenance, and archiving to maximize system resiliency. This role requires a champion of the infrastructure as code concept with the ability to architect a pioneering cloud solution and efficiently script repeatable jobs to minimize maintenance.
Your key responsibilities
- Cloud architecture planning and implementation to include IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS offerings
- Documentation of cloud service offerings- contribution of expertise to technical architecture diagrams
- Interfacing with client technical leadership and communicating technical concepts clearly
- Identifying efficiencies in service offerings and applying innovative solutions
- Adapting infrastructure to client security requirements and understanding impacts across large-scale systems
Skills and attributes for success
- Certified Cloud Solution Architect with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Demonstrated experience using Chef, Puppet, Ansible, or other similar toolsets for automation, continuous integration, testing, and delivery
- Experience implementing DevOps principles
- Proven experience scripting with Python, Powershell, or other languages
- Experience managing code with Git or other repository
- Experience deploying serverless applications
- Familiarity with both Windows and Linux OS
- Understanding of networking concepts and network protocols
- Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL Databases including, but not limited to: SQL Server, Oracle, Redshift, SQL Data Warehouse, Cloudera, Hortonworks, HDInsight
- Solid communication skills
- Experience on Agile projects a plus
- Experience on projects utilizing continuous delivery and deployment methodologies a plus
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance
- Bachelor's degree (in technical competency)
- 8+ years professional related experience
- MUST have 5+ years of US Army Cloud experience
- Experience using Chef, Puppet, Ansible, or other similar toolsets for automation, continuous integration, testing, and delivery
- Experience implementing DevOps principles
- Proven experience scripting with Python, Powershell, or other languages
- Experience managing code with Git or other repository
- Experience deploying serverless applications
- Familiarity with both Windows and Linux OS

Ideally, you'll also have
- Thorough business understanding of data science application and ability to communicate with key decision-makers

What we offer

The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $128,400 to $235,400. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $154,100 to $267,500. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.
