Tax – Tax Technology & Transformation – Products Group – Senior
Tax Technology and Transformation is composed of the following services:
- Digital tax transformation
- Tax applications-as-a-service
- Tax data and improvement
- Tax analytics and reporting enhancement
- Emerging tax technology, including robotic process automation (RPA), artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain, cloud solutions, data lake development and business intelligence innovation
- Tax technology program mobilization
- Custom tax technology application development and deployment
- Tax technology strategy and road mapping
- Direct and indirect tax systems implementation and configuration
- Post-transaction (M&A) tax function operational services
- Tax operating model transformation, including process improvement, risk and controls
- Tax function assessments
The Products Group creates tax applications to enable a client’s transformation goals, focused on leveraging Microsoft’s suite of tool.
Key responsibilities:
You will support various client projects simultaneously. You will collaborate with clients to collect their specific business requirements. You will document and communicate those requirements to our offshore development team. You will assist a manager and senior manager with managing the overall project, manage engagement economics, create status reports and deliverables, among many other activities. You will see all projects through all phases, including build, test, and deployment. You will be expected to be technical enough in the Microsoft tools to troubleshoot issues real-time, to communicate capabilities and limitations of the tools and connect the capabilities of the tools to the client’s requirements. Whatever you find yourself doing, you will be challenged to continuously learn and expand your skills, collaborate closely with our offshore team, all the while handling activities with a high focus on quality and commercial value. This is a highly regulated industry, so it is all about maintaining our reputation as trusted advisors by taking on bold initiatives and owning new challenges.
To qualify for the role, you must have
- A bachelor’s degree in Information Systems and/or a master’s degree in Accounting, Tax Technology, Management Information Systems, or Computer Science or related field and a minimum of 5 years of related work experience
- Approved technical certification, CPA license or membership to a state Bar
- Experience with Microsoft technology and its use in business processes
- Excellent business writing skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively
- A natural flair for problem solving and an entrepreneurial approach to work
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with exceptional client-serving consulting skills and the ability to work on a variety of projects simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability to capture and synthesize business requirements
- Hands-on experience in the design, development and delivery of Microsoft-based solutions
- Deep, hands-on experience with Microsoft SharePoint, including configuration and administration
- Taking ownership of assigned tasks and monitoring them until completion, including documenting requirements, configuration, testing, debugging
- Monitoring project status and economics
- Participating in Agile development activities including sprints, demos, retrospectives, and deployments
- Working cooperatively with offshore resources
- Communicating internally and externally with clients clearly and effectively
- Supporting project team members in any way needed to help ensure timely completion of deliverables
- Relationship building internally within the firm and externally to bring new ideas and challenges to our team
- Profitable delivery of projects and ability to communicate value creation to clients
- Ability to navigate and collaborate with various stakeholders to achieve a common goal
Ideally, you'll also have
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, etc.)
- Experience with Azure SQL Server
- Experience with Microsoft’s suite of AI solutions, including practical application of these tools
- Experience working on large, multidisciplinary projects that impact tax (e.g., ERP implementations, tax co-sourcing engagements, finance transformations, custom solution development)
- Experience in tax function, transformation and automation
- Experience creating a Product based on client requirements
- Change management experience to support successful adoption of products
- Leading Product testing and / or training sessions

- We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $102,500 to $187,900. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $122,900 to $213,400. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
