You will also play a key role in building the vendor production & procurement strategy, and help oversee their scopes of work.

What you will do:

  • Become a key liaison to AORs, design specialties such as Lighting, Graphics, AV, Rigging, Special Effects, Show Action, Show Control etc. to ensure design continuity. Oversee the digital design pipeline to ensure accuracy of design models

  • For both Netflix House and attractions teams, define proof of concept mockups and write scopes of work as needed; be a conductor for what creative checkpoints are needed to mitigate risks or unknowns

  • Oversee design & production milestones & advise on impact of design changes

  • Oversee production phases by reviewing technical drawings, material specs, visiting fabrication vendors, and providing reference materials during production kick-offs

  • Be onsite to oversee Creative excellence during the construction, installation, & programming phase on site

  • Benchmark new and existing attractions, visit relevant trade shows and attend seminars to always be on the forefront of innovation and new directions for our industry

What we need from you:

  • A dynamic portfolio demonstrating an ability to leverage multiple tools to find design solutions, as well as any concept design, graphic design, color design, or art direction experience that has resulted in a body of best-in-class creative & experiential projects

  • Ability to champion Creative integrity while balancing speed-to-market and business goals.

  • A passion to innovate, finding new ways of creating emotional connection to our guests, and to break the norm

  • In-depth knowledge of production methods, materials & finishes, fabrication and how designs become a finished physical product

  • Ability to make difficult (yet informed) decisions, always in the best interest of Netflix

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and digitally

  • Excellent organizing skills using digital tools and Google suite

  • Knowledge of digital design tools such as Sketch Up, Unreal, Maya, Rhino, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc. (note: we’re not bound to a specific program), preferred
