Responsibilities:
- Write Java code and utilize J2EE technologies for FortiSIEM Application Server module
- Profile, optimize and tune the Application Server module. Debug and fix bugs.
- Work with GUI and Analytics team to design, develop and test scalable solutions to various problems.
- Work with product management and engineering team leads to translate product requirements into effective solutions.
- Write and present functional specifications, write unit test cases and help QA team to write system level test cases. Participate in code reviews.
- Study new J2EE or database technologies and work with engineering team leads to incorporate into the product.
- Provide technical guidance to junior developers.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in Software Development, exceptional core CS concepts (distributed programming, concurrency, algorithms).
- Masterful in Java, profound understanding Object-Oriented design and middle-tier frameworks, such as Java EE
- Experience in building modern distributed applications with high performance and scalability
- Experience with Relational Database (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL) and column-based databases (e.g. ClickHouse), Key-value databases such as Redis.
- Experience with Restful API, Cache Technologies such as Redis and Ehcache, Hibernate ORM, Application Server such as Glassfish, a strong plus
- Ability to understand potential security issues and write highly secure code
- Team-oriented, self-motivated, fast learner, and willing to work in a fast paced and cross-site development environment
- Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude.
- Adapt and deliver on time working in a fast-paced agile environment.
Education:
- BS/MS in computer science or related field, BS with 8+ years of work experience or MS with 3+ years of work experience.
