Duties: Model, price, and risk manage interest rate derivative products. Assist in the preparation of product presentations that compare traditional financial instruments with newly designed securities. Perform discounted cash flow analysis as well as comparative and pro forma analysis and utilize analytical skills to develop company valuation models and perform in-depth financial industry studies. Organize, manipulate, and analyze complex financial and statistical data and other variables to project operating cash flows, profit margins, returns on invested capital, returns on assets, and compounded annual growth rates. Develop sophisticated models to determine initial capital investment requirements, assess revenue from sales of products, predict the return on invested capital, calculate the payout period, and determine the net present value of future cash flow to assess business sustainability. Review complex financial reports to perform comparative analysis and generate profitability analysis. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Business, Statistics, Finance, or a related field, and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation in the financial markets and trading industry. Two (2) years of experience must include: Applying computer programming skills to conduct quantitative research on financial market data, economic data, and other publicly available information in languages and application environments including Python, excel, and Bloomberg; Generating trade ideas through quantitative analysis, forecast, and simulation in US interest rate markets utilizing programming, statistical analysis, and data visualization techniques; Analyzing and interpreting traditional or alternative big data sets by applying time series analysis, econometric models, and statistical inference techniques to improve hedging, predicting, and alpha capturing activities related to trading book management; Identifying potential trading opportunities and risks, specialized in events most relevant to interest rate market including Fed meetings, CPI, and Non-farm payrolls; Structuring and executing interest rate derivative trades on behalf of clients or the firm using order management systems, risk systems, messaging systems, and other tools; Developing pricing tools and models for risk managing interest rate derivative products using Excel, VBA, and Python; and Interpreting macro and micro economic trends and providing insights to clients. 40 hrs./wk.
