The Public Sector Lockbox business is a multi-shift, 363 days-per-year operational unit which provides a variety of services to government clients to assist them in managing their receivables and sensitive documents. The core function of this business in Getzville is Data Entry. A successful candidate must be able to work weekends/holidays, additional hours as required and successfully complete the government-required background check. The duties and responsibilities described are not a comprehensive list and additional tasks may be assigned as necessitated by business demands.
Responsibilities:
- As a critical member of the operations team, accountable for meeting or exceeding quality and productivity standards.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for all data entry functions
- Demonstrate high level of focus and attention to detail, ensuring strong quality and minimizing rework
- Readily adapts to changes in deadlines and changes in daily work assignments
- Expected to escalate observed issues timely and appropriately
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements yielding increased productivity and efficiency for the operation
- Professionally interact and positively collaborate with team members, peers and managers across shifts and sites to ensure client timelines and quality requirements are met
- Professionally provide feedback and guidance to other processors related to the quality/productivity output of their work
- Support training for the development needs of the staff as well as Citi required training
- Perform critical role in monitoring workflow and ensuring work is complete on time.

- Cross-train for various internal roles within the department, and provide back-up coverage for those roles as needed
- Assist as required for control, risk, daily activities, and transaction services projects
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
- Monitor data entry workflow for all work streams ensuring timely completion
- Allocate resources to TMS or Parascript systems as/when necessary
- Trusted with complex and potentially sensitive information critical to the success of the operation
- Review error reports and provide information to management
- Oversee New Hire training activities providing structure and consistency
- Regularly update capacity models and other shift reports
- Support the review and reconciliation of requirements to Process Control Manual
Qualifications:
Required
- Demonstrated history of strong interpersonal skills and positive peer engagement experience in a diverse environment
- Responsible for monitoring all data entry work streams to ensure timely completion to meet client Service Level Agreement’s.
- The person is able to effectively allocate resources into different systemic workflows where necessary.
- Candidate must have an intermediate level of technical knowledge in order to deliver quality service.
- Demonstrated history of working well within a team environment, working towards a common goal requiring respectful communication and teamwork
- Excellent attention to detail, targetingstraight-through-processing
- Strong data entry skills
- Intermediate PC Proficiency; including MS Office and Lockbox Applications
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Prior Lockbox, payment processing, banking experience or operations experience
- Previous audit and quality control experience preferred
- Self-motivated, goal oriented with strong time management skills
- Able to work a flexible schedule to accommodate weekends/holidays and additional hours as required
- U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency (green card) is a prerequisite for this position
- Must be able tospeak/write/understandEnglish
- Must pass an extensive background check including criminal, credit and drug (renewed every 5 years)
- Bachelor’s/Universitydegree or equivalent experience
