What You’ll DoWhat You’ll Bring
- Operate 5-axis CNC Mills in a low-volume / high-mix workflow
- Read operator/process documents and perform setups and operations as described
- Prove out programs on the floor with NC programmers
- Provide feedback to engineers, other machinists and programmers on design and process improvement
- Machine complex components to tight tolerances in various materials with tight deadlines
- Use various inspection and measurement tools to validate your work
- Tracking and documentation of machining processes and results when necessary
- 6+ years of CNC mill operating experience and 3+ years of 5 axis CNC operating experience on dies (high pressure die casting, stampings, injection molding, etc.), particularly on H13/H11 tool steel
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of engineering drawings, documents and GD&T
- Thorough knowledge in the use of measurement and inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauge pins, bore gauges, optical comparator, etc.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to develop and present technical information
- Flexible with ability to work overtime on short notice based on strategic needs of the company
- Experience with basic shop tools, Heidenhain CNC controls, maintenance maintenance, lathes,
- Gundrill, Mill-Turn, EDM and/or large format CNC experience
