What you’ll do

As a Junior Developer (f/m/d) for cloud software projects, you design, develop and operate microservices for SAP's next generation Marketing Platform (SAP Emarsys). You will also have the chance to evaluate the fit of new concepts and technologies for the requirements of our newly planned Marketing product offering. It is important to us that you are eager to constantly learn about novel technologies in the context of cloud native engineering, distributed systems, and DevOps.

What you bring

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar discipline
• Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis
• Some proficiency in a modern programming language (Java, JavaScript, etc.)
• Constructive and open style of communication, working as a team player
• Ambition to operate autonomously
• German and fluent English language skills

Optional, but beneficial skills:

• Relevant first working experience (incl. as working student)
• Experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes
• Experience in delivering software in the public cloud environment
• Worked with Version Control tools before
• Experience with a modern database, SQL, NoSQL
