Your Role and Responsibilities
IBM Storage is looking for a Technical Product Manager to be part of the team that is responsible for IBM Storage Defender, Data Resiliency platform.
  • Product managers are responsible for gathering customer and market requirements and distilling it into a strategic roadmap that they drive through execution, GTM and customer adoption.
  • Successful candidates will have 3-5 years of Product management experience with a successful track record of shipping market leading products and deep domain expertise in data protection, data governance or data security.

Job Duties:

  • Work with key stakeholders and a cross-functional team to define product requirements, manage new product releases, including all product launch deliverables
  • Work closely with Development and UX teams on functional definition and delivery
  • Work with sales and partners to strengthen the Defender Storage Protect offerings
  • Participating in defining product strategy and roadmap management
  • Develop and coordinate enablement assets for sales and partners
  • Work with industry analysts, partners, and customers to gather and validate market requirements, understand pain points, address RFEs, and evangelizing the product roadmap and vision


Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Data Protection and Disaster Recovery
  • Data Security and Governance
  • Enterprise Storage
  • Experience working with UX and Development in an agile environment
  • Product Management experience 3 years


Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • BS or MS in Engineering
  • MBA preferred but not required
  • Product Management experience 5 years
  • Experience working with Managed Service providers, system integrators and ecosystem partners
  • Experience shipping Enterprise software products to Fortune 50 companies, mid-market across all major verticals – financial, education, government, healthcare and retail
