Job Description:This Advanced Packaging Supply Chain Engineer, within the Global Sourcing for Equipment and Materials organization, is a senior position that plays a crucial role in the definition and sourcing of technologies required for Intel's next-generation Wafer-level assembly and Test factories. These efforts require close partnering with key Technology Development business units in Assembly and Test, Manufacturing Operations, Planning, Legal and Finance teams. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work with the world's foremost semiconductor advanced equipment manufacturing suppliers and the global nature of this business offers great opportunities to participate in and lead internationally matrixed teams.
As an Advanced Packaging Supply Chain Engineer, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Technical program management of Intel's equipment suppliers
- Working with suppliers to drive ecosystem and technology solutions that meet Intel's product roadmap's quality, reliability, cost, yield, and manufacturability requirements
- Leading supplier selections for new business in partnership with technical/quality partners and, creating relevant specifications and mutual expectation documents to minimize variability and subjectivity to align with operational and supplier capability requirements
- Owning and driving technical working groups that defines the priorities for the supplier
- Supporting management/senior leadership to incorporate process and quality improvements in Intel's supply chain strategy
- Providing technical and tactical leadership to the organization as well as solving problems and exerting influence with other organizations and management at a program level
- Leading Management and Executive factory escalations and Model-Based Problem-Solving driven resolution
- Managing supplier accounts on behalf of Intel, at the executive level
- Formulating supply chain technical strategy that delivers leadership solutions, highlighting gaps between roadmap strategy, manufacturing capability, and market demands and recommending solutions to address those gaps
- Supporting commercial commodity managers with should cost and ROI development
- Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior supply chain engineers, and role modeling Intel values
- Leadership skills with the ability to leadcross-functional/organizational
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills at Executive level
- Organization savvy and networking skills to achieve results across multiple groups and disciplines
- Communication skills to build relationships and drive change across the company and with suppliers Executives
- The Ability to work through ambiguity and convey complex technical concepts effectively
Qualifications:You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.
Minimum Qualifications:
The candidate must possess at least one of the following 3 degrees; plus, the years of experience determined for each degree in the areas specified below:
- Bachelor's degree in any Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) degree with 12+ years ofmanufacturing/semiconductor/supplychain/engineering experience
- Master's degree in any Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) degree with 10+ years ofmanufacturing/semiconductor/supplychain/engineering experience
- Ph.D. in any Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) degree with 8+ years ofmanufacturing/semiconductor/supplychain/engineering experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Cleanroom experience
- A track record of delivering semiconductor industry leading supply chain solutions
- Experience with defining technical specs, leading executive level technical program reviews and management of supplier quality and change control programs
- A history of successful problem-solving in a difficult environment dealing with difficult customers and/or suppliers is desired
